ED Deadline: November 1 — ideal for students who consider UMich their top choice.
Comparison of Application Plans:
1. Early Decision (ED) – Binding
Deadline: November 1
Financial Aid Deadline: November 15
Decision Release: By late December
Must enroll if admitted and withdraw other applications
If materials are incomplete, the application may be moved to RD or deferred to EA (non-binding)
2. Early Action (EA) – Non-binding
Deadline: November 1
Recommended Financial Aid Submission: December 15
Decision Release: By late January
Can compare offers and apply to other schools
3. Regular Decision (RD) – Non-binding
Deadline: February 1
